Custom-domain inboxes remain public to anyone who knows or guesses the address. Third-party services may block these addresses; a custom domain does not guarantee acceptance or delivery. Make DNS changes in your own provider account. Never share registrar passwords, API keys, or recovery codes with TinyMail or anyone helping you configure it.
1

Add MX Record to DNS

To verify your domain with the system, add an MX record in your domain's DNS management panel (Cloudflare, Namecheap, GoDaddy, etc.).

FieldValue
TypeMX
Name@
Points to...
Priority10
TTLDefault or 14400
⏱️ Note: It may take anywhere from 5 minutes to 48 hours for the DNS record to propagate, depending on your domain provider.
⚠️ If your domain uses Cloudflare, make sure the MX record's proxy status is DNS only (gray cloud), not proxied (orange).
2

Check MX Record

After adding the MX record, verify it has propagated correctly using an online tool like MXToolbox, or use the checker below.

3

Add Domain to the Application

Once the MX record is verified, enter your domain below and click Add Domain. If successful, your domain will appear in the list of available domains on the homepage.

💡 If you encounter an error while adding the domain, double-check the MX record or wait longer for DNS propagation.

🔌 Use via API

curl -X POST "https://BASE_URL/api/add-domain/yourdomain.com"
